FUNK FROM ROUMLOUKI / MARIN MARE IN A SHOP IN SIATISTA / WHITE TURKISH ANGORA CAT FROM PROUSA
Bios Rooftop presents the trio IDISIDISIDIS, a new musical partnership of Panagiotis Melidis (Larry Gus) on organ, Michalis Siganidis on double bass and Giorgos Stavridis on drums.
Their music moves freely between improvisation, the folk tradition of Roumlouki and the strict lines of French Baroque. Their songs, with lyrics-poems by Michalis Siganidis and Efthimis Philippou, emerge through a hybrid of rhythm, humor and ritual abstraction.
Burt Bacharach opens the door of his house and steps out onto the old Veria - Thessaloniki national road. Asteras FM in Meliki pays tribute to Handel's organ and orchestra concerts. Prefecture of Imimathea.
Their first performances and recordings are anticipated as if a grandmother from Koufalia and a vocalist from the Paris Opera were simultaneously awaiting them.
BiographyGiorgos Stavridis explores the inherent sonic possibilities of percussion instruments, electronic media and objects, through construction, fieldwork and improvisation. He is a member of Trigger Happy, the duo BLIP and the Center for Research and Salvation of Music Radio Production, with their latest venture being the establishment of the online experimental radio station loskop.radio. He has presented his work in numerous concerts and festivals in Greece and abroad.
